Living into questions
We often judge the quality of our lives by our progress toward finding answers.
The thing is, the answers we seek to life’s bigger questions may not come for years. And by the time we think we’ve found them, maybe they’ve changed. Or we’ve changed. Or clear answers may not come at all. Becoming dependent on finding answers ties our happiness to some destination. Instead, what if we measured our lives by the quality of questions we’re pursuing, without being attached to any conclusions? What if we let the exploration be what’s fulfilling, in and of itself? Questions can be an invitation to live into something larger than ourselves. An invitation to pay closer attention to what really matters. An invitation to enjoy what’s right here in front of us. An invitation to be with. ~ What questions are guiding you right now? 2021. Caught up with a dear friend and former client yesterday who inspired this. |
