Join me for a hike in the SF Bay Area hills for some fresh air and perspective.
Walking in nature does wonders for the mind, heart, body, and spirit. It is a creative act - one of listening, creating, and unfolding.
Who is this for? Leaders who want to:
Get unstuck with an issue
Gain clarity about a situation or question
Slow down to speed up
Feel more grounded and confident
Connect more deeply with themselves
Draw inspiration from nature
...and enjoy the journey of earning a beautiful view!
How does it work? Bring a question, challenge, or curiosity and we'll explore it together. Conversations have spanned topics about work, relationships, personal growth, addiction, leadership, life, love, self-doubt... nothing is off limits. I bring an open mind and heart. My intention is to serve you as deeply as I can, which often looks like you leaving with at least one powerful insight that may shift everything.
Mochi, our 4yo aussie shepard & border collie mix, will join us and be off-leash. You may bring your dog too.
Investment I'm currently running a social experiment: for our first hike, you pay as much as you feel is right. Simple as that. Your payment is based on your perception of value, paid after our hike. No catch, no obligation, no sales pitch.
20% of your payment goes toward The Wildlife Conservation Society, a non-profit focused on conserving 50% of the world's biodiversity and protecting wildlife through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature.
I am committed to creating the most impactful hiking experience on the planet and I don't want money to prevent people from accessing it.
Logistics Duration: ~2 hours Timing: Tuesdays-Saturdays, starting between 8:00-9:30am PT Location: Variety of trails in the Oakland Hills, Berkeley Hills, and Marin Headlands Difficulty: Most routes are moderate (3-5 miles, 500-800 ft elevation gain, varied terrain). Let me know if you prefer something slightly easier or harder.
I'm in! How do I book time with you? 1. Get in touch. I usually respond within 3 business days. 2. We'll schedule a brief call to connect and plan logistics. 3. We hike. Perhaps your life changes. 4. Payment is due 7 days after we meet.
"The session wasn't what I thought it would be. You turned the conversation around 180 degrees to a positive and proactive attitude. I'm feeling much more optimistic and creative about the future. "
"I call it the Leland magical vacuum effect. This morning showed me some places I'm afraid to go, which is a good thing to see, and a sign that I'm playing at my edge. Such an amazing insight!"
"I was actually going to write you saying you’ve already gone above and beyond. Thank you for resurrecting my confidence."
"I don't think I've had anyone interested in me like this. You take connections and see what I don't see. I feel like this is magic!"
"This morning felt like wide open blue sky spacious and endless possibilities… I’m so, so grateful for you and this very expansive part of me you always invite out to play. My cup and my heart are full 🤗"
"There’s something that’s lit up, like a circuit when we hike and explore together that I don’t have words for, but that somehow makes me feel nourished and more alive."
"Thanks for being with me in the space of all of it: good, bad, right, wrong, thrilling, terrifying… to deny or compartmentalize any of these would be to deny the movement of life itself."
"Thank you for inviting me to step outside my typical work environment and into nature. That experience allowed me to more deeply connect to myself and expand my perspective of what’s possible as a leader."
"I just wanted to express my gratitude to you and our coaching hike again. Not only did you make my morning much brighter, but talking with you filled me with hope, confidence, and more appreciation for myself."
"Thank you for getting me unstuck. You challenged me to grow outside of my comfort zone. The proof is in the pudding. You've really raised the bar for all executive coaches."
"I can't thank you enough for spending time with me last week; I got a lot out of it and was able to process a lot over the past few days."
"Thank you for being you and also for seeing me. I’m finding that telling the truth is quite liberating. I came away from our hike feeling lighter and more free. The only way things can change is to really, truly feel them instead of stepping over them or trying to package them in a way that makes them more palatable or digestible."
"First let me say, THANK YOU! The conversation we had felt one of the most honest moments I’ve had in a while, you know being an entrepreneur feels like you always have to be “right” and have your crap together… I felt that I could tell you honestly I did not have my crap together, and you did not judge me, rather helped me empower myself and do what’s right. Honestly, thank you."
